On Thursday, May 21, 2026, in the prestigious setting of the Sala delle Colonne at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology in Milan, the book “Le dieci parole tradite” (The Ten Betrayed Words) by Corriere della Sera journalist and deputy editor Venanzio Postiglione, will be presented.

The initiative, promoted by the Centro Studi Grande Milano as part of the #AMAREMILANO project, will also see the participation of important representatives from the institutional, cultural, and academic worlds. Joining the author for the conversation will be Daniela Mainini, President of the Centro Studi Grande Milano, Marina Brambilla, Rector of the University of Milan, and Fiorenzo Marco Galli, General Director of the National Museum of Science and Technology.

Among the event’s supporters is also DEUTZ Italy, associated with Centro Studi Grande Milano since 2024.

Published in April 2026, “Le dieci parole tradite. Come abbiamo smarrito le radici della nostra civiltà: dalla democrazia al talento” (The Ten Betrayed Words. How We Lost the Roots of Our Civilization: From Democracy to Talent) addresses a highly topical issue: the progressive loss of the original meaning of some of the fundamental words of our contemporary society.

In his book, Venanzio Postiglione takes the reader on a journey through etymology, history, philosophy, and current events, reflecting on concepts such as democracy, freedom, peace, fraternity, truth, and talent. Words that, according to the author, have been transformed, impoverished, or emptied of their truest meaning over time.

Journalist, editorialist, and deputy director of Corriere della Sera, Venanzio Postiglione has been engaged for years in analyzing contemporary social, cultural, and political changes. His work stands out for its focus on dialogue between information, society, and civic values, often addressing issues related to public ethics, communication, and the evolution of Italian and European society.

With “Le dieci parole tradite,” the author offers a profound reflection on the cultural and social changes characterizing our time: from the “politics of the moment” to the loss of dialogue, from social anxiety to the difficulty of building a shared vision for the future. An analysis inviting us to rediscover the value of ideas, moderation, and collective responsibility.

The May 21st event therefore goes beyond a simple book presentation, offering a platform to discuss key issues for contemporary society within a dialogue bridging culture, institutions, and the business worlds.

The event will be held at 6:00 PM in the Sala delle Colonne at the Leonardo da Vinci National Museum of Science and Technology, located at Via San Vittore 21, Milan. A buffet reception will be served at the conclusion of the event.
