The new Cruise motors have a completely reworked electric design with improved thermal behavior, an even stronger aluminum pylon with integral fin, ultra-quiet and durable helical gears, and improved rudder functionality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cTorqeedo\u2019s integrated systems approach and industrial R&amp;D and engineering is evident through continuous product improvements. The workhorses of our low-voltage lineup, Cruise systems power everything from emission-free water taxis to pontoon boats, sailboats and uncrewed surface vessels collecting data for cutting-edge research,\u201d said Dr Ralf Plieninger, managing director<strong> Torqeedo GmbH<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The innovations don&#8217;t finish there: Torqeedo, ZF and Excess Catamarans have worked together to implement the first installation of the new Deep Blue 50 kW saildrives on an Excess 15 catamaran. Now, the three companies are celebrating their shortlisting for the 2021 Boat Builder Award, announced during METSTRADE. The E&#8217;Lab, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.deutzmag.com\/navigazione-sostenibile-excess-presenta-il-rivoluzionario-progetto-ibrido-excess-15\/\">Excess 15 with Deep<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torqeedo.com\/en\/news-and-press\/blog\/blog-2021-9-7.html\">Blue Hybrid,<\/a> was nominated in the category \u201cCollaborative Solution between Boat or Superyacht Builder and its Supply Chain Partner\u201d. This prestigious award recognizes boat builders and supply chain partners who have collaborated from a conceptual stage to develop a particular solution to a design challenge, innovation or efficiency improvement.<br><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"New_component_integrations\"><\/span>New component integrations<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are also new component integrations for <strong>Torqeedo&#8217;s powerful Deep Blue systems<\/strong>:a 22 kW shore charger is more than double those previously available and allows for easy integration of AC on-board generators. Deep Blue&#8217;s latest iteration of the DC interface simplifies DC range extender management for seamless, convenient and ultra-efficient backup power. The system automatically ensures that the generator is always working at its most efficient point, minimizing run time and reducing fuel consumption, noise and vibration.<br><br><br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"A_power_station_on_water\"><\/span>A power station on water<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past year, <strong>Torqeedo <\/strong>has made great strides to bring emission-free boating through projects like the Ocean Explorer 72 with <strong>Deep Blue Hybrid<\/strong>. Powered by two twin 100kW Deep Blue inboard engines, this &#8216;green powerhouse on water&#8217; charges its batteries while sailing. Greenline Yachts with Deep Blue have been chosen for the world&#8217;s first all-electric charter fleet in Norway, and Frauscher Boatyard has launched the TimeSquare with two Cruise units cleverly integrated into its ultra-efficient double hull design.
